Isaiah 30:3-5
New American Standard Bible
3 Therefore the safety of Pharaoh will be (A)your shame,
And the shelter in the shadow of Egypt, your humiliation.
4 For (B)their officials are at Zoan
And their ambassadors arrive at Hanes.
5 Everyone will be (C)ashamed because of a people who do not benefit them,
Who are (D)not a help or benefit, but a source of shame and also disgrace.”
Isaiah 31:1
New American Standard Bible
Help Not in Egypt but in God
31 Woe to those who go down to (A)Egypt for help
And (B)rely on horses,
And trust in chariots because they are many
And in horsemen because they are very strong,
But they do not (C)look to the (D)Holy One of Israel, nor seek the Lord!
Ezekiel 29:6-7
New American Standard Bible
6 Then all the inhabitants of Egypt will know that I am the Lord,
Because they have been only a (A)staff made of reed to the house of Israel.
7 When they took hold of you with the hand,
You (B)broke and tore all their [a]hands;
And when they leaned on you,
You broke and made all their hips [b]shake.”
