¹⁰ For this reason we labor and strive,^[a] because we have put our hope in the living God,^(A) who is the Savior^(B) of all people,^(C) especially of those who believe.

¹¹ Command and teach these things. ¹² Don’t let anyone despise your youth, but set an example for the believers in speech,^(D) in conduct,^(E) in love,^[b](F) in faith, and in purity.^(G)
