⁴ He took this from their hand, and fashioned it with a graving tool and made it into a ^(A)molten calf; and they said, “^[a]This is your god, O Israel, who brought you up from the land of Egypt.”

²⁸ So the king ^[a]consulted, and ^(A)made two golden ^(B)calves, and he said to them, “It is too much for you to go up to Jerusalem; ^(C)behold your gods, O Israel, that brought you up from the land of Egypt.”

³ and they played the harlot in Egypt. They ^(A)played the harlot in their youth; there their breasts were pressed and there their virgin bosom was handled.

¹⁹ Yet she multiplied her harlotries, remembering the days of her youth, when she played the harlot in the land of Egypt.
