⁷ The Lord ^(A)appeared to Abram and said, “^(B)To your ^[a]descendants I will give this land.” So he built ^(C)an altar there to the Lord who had appeared to him.

³ Sojourn in this land and ^(A)I will be with you and ^(B)bless you, for ^(C)to you and to your ^[a]descendants I will give all these lands, and I will establish ^(D)the oath which I swore to your father Abraham.

¹³ And behold, ^(A)the Lord stood ^[a]above it and said, “I am the Lord, ^(B)the God of your father Abraham and the God of Isaac; the land on which you lie, I will give it ^(C)to you and to ^(D)your ^[b]descendants.

The Journey Resumed

33 Then the Lord spoke to Moses, “Depart, go up from here, you and the people whom you have brought up from the land of Egypt, to the land of which ^(A)I swore to Abraham, ^(B)Isaac, and ^(C)Jacob, saying, ‘^(D)To your ^[a]descendants I will give it.’

^23 (A)shall by no means see the land which I swore to their fathers, nor shall any of those who spurned Me see it.

¹¹ ‘^(A)None of the men who came up from Egypt, from twenty years old and upward, shall see the land which I swore to Abraham, to Isaac and to Jacob; for they did not follow Me fully,

¹³ For ^(A)when God made the promise to Abraham, since He could swear by no one greater, He ^(B)swore by Himself, ¹⁴ saying, “^(C)I will surely bless you and I will surely multiply you.”
