2 Jida, nonm ki te gen pou trayi l' la, te konnen ti kote sa a tou paske Jezi te konn vin la anpil fwa ak disip li yo.
3 Se konsa, Jida al nan jaden an. Li te gen yon kolonn sòlda ansanm ak kèk gad avè li. Se chèf prèt yo ak gwoup farizyen yo ki te voye yo avè li. Yo tout te gen zam, yo t'ap pote fannal ak gwo chandèl tou limen.
4 Jezi menm ki te konnen sa ki te pou rive l' la, mache sou yo, li mande yo: Ki moun n'ap chache?
5 Yo reponn li: Jezi, nonm Nazarèt la. Jezi di yo: Se mwen. Jida, nonm ki t'ap trayi l' la, te la avèk yo.
6 Lè Jezi di yo: Se mwen, yo renka kò yo dèyè, yo tonbe atè.
7 Lè sa a, Jezi mande yo ankò: Ki moun n'ap chache? Yo di l': Jezi, nonm Nazarèt la.
8 Jezi reponn yo: Mwen pa deja di nou se mwen menm. Si se mwen n'ap chache, kite lòt mesye sa yo al fè wout yo.

23 Jezi reponn li: Si m' pale mal, moutre moun yo sa m' di ki mal la a. Men, si m' pale byen, poukisa ou frape mwen?
24 Apre sa, An voye Jezi tou mare ale lakay Kayif, granprèt la.
25 Pandan tout tan sa a, Simon Pyè te kanpe la ap chofe dife. Yo di li: Ou menm tou, ou se yon disip nonm sa a. Men, Pyè demanti sa, li di: Non. Mwen pa disip nonm sa a.
26 Yonn nan domestik granprèt la ki te fanmi nonm Pyè te koupe zòrèy la, di konsa: Eske mwen pa t' wè ou nan jaden an avè li?
27 Pyè di ankò se pa vre. Lamenm yon kòk chante.
28 ¶ Apre sa, soti kay Kayif, yo mennen Jezi nan palè Gouvènè a. Se te granmtimaten. Men, jwif yo pa t' antre nan palè a. Yo pa t' vle mete tèt yo nan kondisyon pou yo pa ka fè sèvis Bondye yo. Sa ta ka anpeche yo manje manje Delivrans lan.
29 Se poutèt sa, Pilat, gouvènè a, te blije soti vin jwenn yo deyò a. Li mande yo: Kisa nou di nonm sa a fè?
30 Yo reponn li: Si nonm sa a pa t' yon malfektè, nou pa ta mennen l' ba ou.
31 Pilat di yo: Poukisa nou pa pran l' nou menm, pou nou jije l' dapre lalwa nou? Jwif yo reponn li: Nou pa gen dwa touye pesonn.

33 Lè sa a, Pilat antre nan palè a, li rele Jezi, li mande li: Eske se wa jwif yo ou ye?
34 Jezi reponn li: Eske ou di sa paske ou fè lide sa a ou menm, osinon èske se lòt moun ki di ou sa?
35 Pilat reponn li: Eske se jwif mwen ye, mwen menm? Se pwòp moun peyi ou ansanm ak chèf prèt yo ki mennen ou ban mwen? Kisa ou fè?
36 Jezi reponn: Nan peyi kote m' wa a, se pa tankou peyi ki sou latè. Si gouvènman peyi kote m' wa a te tankou gouvènman peyi ki sou latè, sèvitè m' yo ta goumen pou mwen. Yo pa ta kite m' tonbe nan men jwif yo. Non. Nan peyi kote m' wa a, se pa tankou peyi ki sou latè.
37 Lè sa a, Pilat di li: Si se konsa, ou se wa vre? Jezi reponn li: Se ou ki di li. Wi, se wa mwen ye. Mwen fèt pou m' di verite a jan li ye a. Wi, se pou sa menm mwen vin sou latè. Tout moun ki patizan laverite ap koute vwa mwen.
38 Pilat reponn li: Laverite? Kisa l' ye? Lè l' fin di sa, Pilat soti ankò, li al jwenn jwif yo. Li di yo: Mwen pa wè rezon pou m' kondannen nonm sa a.
39 Dapre koutim nou genyen, mwen toujou lage yon prizonye pou fèt Delivrans lan ban nou. Eske nou ta vle m' lage wa jwif yo ban nou?
40 Lè sa a, yo tout pran rele: Non. Nou pa vle li. Se Barabas nou vle! Barabas sa a te yon bandi.

18 Lè Jezi fin pale konsa, li ale ansanm ak disip li yo lòtbò ravin ki rele Sedwon an. Te gen yon jaden la, li antre ak disip li yo ladan l.
2 Men, Jida ki t ap trayi l la te konnen jaden sa a, paske Jezi te konn reyini la avèk disip li yo. 3 Li mache alatèt ploton sòlda women yo ak gad tanp lan, chèf prèt yo ak Farizyen yo te voye vin arete Jezi. Yo antre nan jaden an ak dife, lanp epi ak zam.
4 Poutèt Jezi te konnen tout sa k te gen pou rive, li avanse sou yo epi l mande yo: “Kimoun n ap chache?”
5 Yo reponn li: “Jezi, moun Nazarèt la.”

7 Jezi mande yo ankò: “Ki moun n ap chache?”

18 Tout sèvitè yo ansanm ak gad tanp lan te fè yon dife ak bwa, paske l te fè frèt, yo t ap chofe kò yo. Pyè te kanpe bò kote mesye yo ap chofe kò l tou.

19 Chèf prèt la kòmanse poze Jezi kesyon sou disip li yo epi sou sa li te konn anseye moun. 20 Jezi reponn: “Mwen te pale an piblik ak lemonn, mwen toujou anseye nan Sinagòg yo epi nan tanp lan kote tout Jwif yo konn rasanble, mwen pa di anyen ankachèt. 21 Pou kisa se mwen ou poze kesyon? 22 Lè Jezi di sa, youn nan gad yo bay Jezi yon bèl kalòt, epi li di l: “Se konsa ou ap reponn Chèf prèt la?”
23 Jezi reponn li: “Si m mal pale, montre sa m di ki mal; men si m byen pale, pou kisa ou ap ban m kou?”
24 Apre sa, Àn voye Jezi byen mare bay Kayif, Chèf prèt la.

25 Men, Simon Pyè te toujou kanpe la ap chofe kò l. Yon moun di l konsa: “Èske ou menm ou pa ta youn nan disip li yo?”
Pyè nye sa, li di: “Mwen pa disip mesye a!”
26 Youn nan sèvitè Chèf prèt la, yon fanmi nonm Pyè te koupe zòrèy li a, di l konsa: “Èske m pa t wè w nan jaden an ak li?”
27 Pyè nye sa yon lòt fwa ankò, epi menm lè a, yon kòk chante.

Jwif yo di l konsa: “Men gouvènman women an pa pèmèt nou touye pèsonn kòm chatiman.” 32 Se konsa pawòl Jezi sou fason l te dwe mouri a te gen pou l akonpli.[d]
33 Pilat antre ankò nan palè a. Li rele Jezi epi li di l: “Èske ou se wa Jwif yo?”
34 Jezi di l konsa: “Èske ou panse poze m kesyon sa a ou menm oubyen se moun ki di w sa de mwen?”
35 Pilat reponn: “Èske mwen se Jwif, mwen menm? Moun pwòp ras ou yo, Chèf alatèt prèt yo arete w voye ban mwen! Ki sa w fè?”
36 Jezi reponn li: “Se pa lemonn ki te ban m otorite pou m wa. Si se te lemonn ki te ban m otorite pou m wa, moun pa m yo ta batay pou Jwif yo pa t mete men sou mwen. Men, sa klè, otorite m kòm wa pa soti isiba.”
37 Lè sa a, Pilat di li: “Ki fè, se wa ou ye?”
Jezi reponn li: “Se ou ki di mwen se wa?” Mwen fèt epi mwen vini nan lemonn pou m pale pou verite a. Nenpòt moun ki moun verite a koute sa m ap di.
38 Pilat di l konsa: “Ki sa verite a ye?” Apre sa, li soti deyò ankò al jwenn Jwif yo, li di yo: “Pou mwen menm, mwen pa jwenn okenn bagay li fè ki mal. 39 Men, poutèt chak fèt Pak nou abitye lage yon prizonye pou nou, èske nou vle m lage wa Jwif yo?”
40 Lè sa a, yo pran kriye konsa: “Pa li menm. Ban nou Barabas!” Barabas la se te yon revolisyonè.

Jesus Arrested(A)
18 When he had finished praying, Jesus left with his disciples and crossed the Kidron Valley.(B) On the other side there was a garden,(C) and he and his disciples went into it.(D)
2 Now Judas, who betrayed him, knew the place, because Jesus had often met there with his disciples.(E) 3 So Judas came to the garden, guiding(F) a detachment of soldiers and some officials from the chief priests and the Pharisees.(G) They were carrying torches, lanterns and weapons.
4 Jesus, knowing all that was going to happen to him,(H) went out and asked them, “Who is it you want?”(I)
5 “Jesus of Nazareth,”(J) they replied.
“I am he,” Jesus said. (And Judas the traitor was standing there with them.) 6 When Jesus said, “I am he,” they drew back and fell to the ground.
7 Again he asked them, “Who is it you want?”(K)
“Jesus of Nazareth,” they said.
8 Jesus answered, “I told you that I am he. If you are looking for me, then let these men go.” 9 This happened so that the words he had spoken would be fulfilled: “I have not lost one of those you gave me.”[a](L)
10 Then Simon Peter, who had a sword, drew it and struck the high priest’s servant, cutting off his right ear. (The servant’s name was Malchus.)
11 Jesus commanded Peter, “Put your sword away! Shall I not drink the cup(M) the Father has given me?”
12 Then the detachment of soldiers with its commander and the Jewish officials(N) arrested Jesus. They bound him 13 and brought him first to Annas, who was the father-in-law of Caiaphas,(O) the high priest that year. 14 Caiaphas was the one who had advised the Jewish leaders that it would be good if one man died for the people.(P)
Peter’s First Denial(Q)
15 Simon Peter and another disciple were following Jesus. Because this disciple was known to the high priest,(R) he went with Jesus into the high priest’s courtyard,(S) 16 but Peter had to wait outside at the door. The other disciple, who was known to the high priest, came back, spoke to the servant girl on duty there and brought Peter in.
17 “You aren’t one of this man’s disciples too, are you?” she asked Peter.
He replied, “I am not.”(T)
18 It was cold, and the servants and officials stood around a fire(U) they had made to keep warm. Peter also was standing with them, warming himself.(V)
The High Priest Questions Jesus(W)
19 Meanwhile, the high priest questioned Jesus about his disciples and his teaching.
20 “I have spoken openly to the world,” Jesus replied. “I always taught in synagogues(X) or at the temple,(Y) where all the Jews come together. I said nothing in secret.(Z) 21 Why question me? Ask those who heard me. Surely they know what I said.”
22 When Jesus said this, one of the officials(AA) nearby slapped him in the face.(AB) “Is this the way you answer the high priest?” he demanded.
23 “If I said something wrong,” Jesus replied, “testify as to what is wrong. But if I spoke the truth, why did you strike me?”(AC) 24 Then Annas sent him bound to Caiaphas(AD) the high priest.
Peter’s Second and Third Denials(AE)
25 Meanwhile, Simon Peter was still standing there warming himself.(AF) So they asked him, “You aren’t one of his disciples too, are you?”
He denied it, saying, “I am not.”(AG)
26 One of the high priest’s servants, a relative of the man whose ear Peter had cut off,(AH) challenged him, “Didn’t I see you with him in the garden?”(AI) 27 Again Peter denied it, and at that moment a rooster began to crow.(AJ)
Jesus Before Pilate(AK)
28 Then the Jewish leaders took Jesus from Caiaphas to the palace of the Roman governor.(AL) By now it was early morning, and to avoid ceremonial uncleanness they did not enter the palace,(AM) because they wanted to be able to eat the Passover.(AN) 29 So Pilate came out to them and asked, “What charges are you bringing against this man?”
30 “If he were not a criminal,” they replied, “we would not have handed him over to you.”
31 Pilate said, “Take him yourselves and judge him by your own law.”
“But we have no right to execute anyone,” they objected. 32 This took place to fulfill what Jesus had said about the kind of death he was going to die.(AO)
33 Pilate then went back inside the palace,(AP) summoned Jesus and asked him, “Are you the king of the Jews?”(AQ)
34 “Is that your own idea,” Jesus asked, “or did others talk to you about me?”
35 “Am I a Jew?” Pilate replied. “Your own people and chief priests handed you over to me. What is it you have done?”
36 Jesus said, “My kingdom(AR) is not of this world. If it were, my servants would fight to prevent my arrest by the Jewish leaders.(AS) But now my kingdom is from another place.”(AT)
37 “You are a king, then!” said Pilate.
Jesus answered, “You say that I am a king. In fact, the reason I was born and came into the world is to testify to the truth.(AU) Everyone on the side of truth listens to me.”(AV)
38 “What is truth?” retorted Pilate. With this he went out again to the Jews gathered there and said, “I find no basis for a charge against him.(AW) 39 But it is your custom for me to release to you one prisoner at the time of the Passover. Do you want me to release ‘the king of the Jews’?”
40 They shouted back, “No, not him! Give us Barabbas!” Now Barabbas had taken part in an uprising.(AX)
