¹⁸ No one has ever seen God. The one and only^(A) Son, who is himself God and is at the Father’s^(B) side^[a]—he has revealed him.^(C)

⁴⁶ not that anyone has seen the Father^(A) except the one who is from God.^(B) He has seen the Father.^(C)

²⁹ I know him because I am from him, and he sent me.”^(A)

¹⁹ Then they asked him, “Where is your Father?”

“You know neither me nor my Father,”^(A) Jesus answered. “If you knew me, you would also know my Father.”^(B)

¹⁵ just as the Father knows me, and I know the Father.^(A) I lay down my life^(B) for the sheep.

²⁵ Righteous Father, the world has not known you. However, I have known you,^(A) and they have known that you sent me. ²⁶ I made your name^(B) known to them and will continue to make it known, so that the love you have loved me with may be in them and I may be in them.”^(C)
