¹⁷But be on guard against people, for they will hand you over to the ^(A)courts and flog you ^(B)in their synagogues;

¹⁷Be on your guard; you will be handed over to the local councils^(A) and be flogged in the synagogues.^(B)

¹⁹And I said, ‘Lord, they themselves understand that in one synagogue after another ^(A)I used to imprison and ^(B)beat those who believed in You.
