16 “I, Jesus, sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the root and offspring of David,[a] the bright morning star.”(A)
17 The Spirit and the bride[b] say, “Come.” Let the hearer say, “Come.” Let the one who thirsts come forward, and the one who wants it receive the gift of life-giving water.(B)
18 I warn everyone who hears the prophetic words in this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book,

18 I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this scroll:(J) If anyone adds anything to them,(K) God will add to that person the plagues described in this scroll.(L)
